init-update 255

When you buy a new NXP smart card for your development , the first thing you would do is to authenticate with the card and see what's in there. This card can hold 255 versions of keys and manufacturer's keys are available on version 255. You execute the following commands:

init-update 255
ext-auth enc
card-info

And here you will see default card manager applet with AID A0000000030000. You have begun your journey into developing smart cards with those baby steps. Welcome!

Starting today, I shall be publishing at least one post a day that is in some way relevant to smart card development, be it NFC, Payment domain, standards such as Global Platform, ISO 7816 or just general junk I vomit.  Hope you would digest!
